While doing volunteer data entry at our local library in Ontario, California, I came across this obituary which might be of some interest to someone on this list. This does not relate to any surname that I am researching personally.

Nancy Clara Stark Horton, 722 East A street, widow of Sylvester A. Horton, died early today at the home of her grandson, Robert M. Sydenstricker, 752 Nocta street, at the age of 72 years. She had been in failing health for several years.

A native of Nebo, Ill., Mrs. Horton came to California 40 years ago and moved to Ontario two years later from Covina.

Surviving besides Robert Sydenstricker are a sister, Mrs. Louise Draper, Los Angeles, and two other grandchildren. Mr. Horton died here last June 27.

Funeral arrangements, in charge of the J. B. Draper company, are incomplete.
