While doing volunteer data entry at our local library in Ontario, California, I came across this obituary which might be of some interest to someone on this list. This does not relate to any surname that I am researching personally. Nancy
Mary E. Willeford, 313 West C street, widow of Charles F. Willeford and an Ontario resident for more than 42 years, died yesterday afternoon at San Bernardino hospital at the age of 93 years.
Mrs. Willeford suffered a hip fracture in a fall some three years ago. She recovered, however, but another fall a year ago resulted in a second hip fracture from which she never fully recovered. A native of Pleasant Hill, Ill., the nonagenarian came to Ontario in September, 1907.
Surviving Mrs. Willeford are three daughters, Mrs. Richard Sedwell, Ontario; Mrs. William Clowers, San Bernardino, and Mrs. George James, Roseburg, Ore.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Willeford died here in 1944.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the J. B. Draper company chapel, 127 West C street, with Rev. E. Clyde Smith of the First Methodist church officiating. Entombment will be in Bellevue mausoleum.
